James Taylor co-founded MathAmigos in 2017 and is involved in the Alliance for Indigenous Math Circles. He has been working in math circles, festivals, and wrangles in New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona since 2005. James taught in 18 classes a week in 17 Santa Fe public schools during 2024-25, using math circles, wrangles, and competitions to bring excitement grade 3 to 8 students in math.
