After a few years in the classroom, Elysée is now a full-time math PhD student at UC Davis. In addition to directing the Bay Area Teachers and Mathematicians network of math circles and teaching regularly with the UC Berkeley circle for students, Elysée enjoys working with pre-service and in-service teachers. She likes to teach puzzles and geometry problems which suggest multiple interpretations.
Elysée’s non-mathematical hobbies include making tea, reading novels, and admiring her pet goldfish.
