The San Jose Math Circle (SJMC) is a weekly math meeting for middle school and high school students. Around 60 students come each week and are presented with difficult, original and always fun mathematical puzzles.
Morgan Hill Math Teachers’ Circle is Back!
Morgan Hill now has its own Math Teachers’ Circle! Local math teachers in any grade can attend monthly meetings to explore rich math problems, rediscover the joy in learning math, and network with fellow teachers and mathematicians. Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month, at the Morgan Hill CCC. Please contact Kelley Barnes at firstname.lastname@example.org for the latest information.
At the San Francisco Math Circle, we make math accessible, inclusive, and fun! The SF Math Circle is an extracurricular math enrichment program that gives students an opportunity to develop their mathematical thinking skills in a supportive, collaborative, and fun environment.
We promote positive attitudes towards math and learning through engaging, hands-on puzzles and games that involve both creativity and critical thinking. You can find more about our approach to math and math education at https://www.sfmathcircle.org/approach, and you can find a sample of our activities at https://www.sfmathcircle.org/activities
Please note that our focus is primarily on helping students to engage in creative mathematical exploration and problem-solving rather than building their skills in arithmetic or other traditional K-12 math.
