Resource and Networking Fair
March 9 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST
Dear math outreach friends,
The Math Circles for Students and Teachers SIGMAA is hosting a Math Circle Virtual Resource and Networking Fair on Thursday, March 9th, 7-8:30 EST… and you’re invited! If you’re already sold, here’s the registration link:
https://sru.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJEvf-6qrjItGNN0hgOj4qh-5G-5x_NQyDhd The format will be a series of brief 2-3 minute presentations by different math outreach groups followed by breakout room mixers for people to learn more about the organizations and make new friends and colleagues. Presenting organizations currently include:
Chicago Math Circle
Global Math Circle
Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival
JRMF Community Math Circle
MathHappens
Natural Math
If you have another organization you would like to see included or would like to present on, let us know! We don’t have a hard deadline but would like to firm up the schedule a day or two in advance. Topics might include starting and sustaining an independent math circle, volunteer or paid opportunities with existing math circles, sources of good math circle activities, math outreach efforts related to math circles, and anything else that might make squaring a circle a tractable problem.
Now that you’re completely sold, here’s that registration link again:
