Northwest Iowa Math Teachers’ Circle
April 15 @ 9:30 am – 11:30 am CDT
The Northwest Iowa Math Teacher’s Circle (NWI-MTC) has four primary goals:
a) Create a network of math teachers in this rural area to address issues of math teaching, learn from each other, and support each other.
b) Provide opportunities for faculty, teachers, and pre-service teachers to enjoy doing mathematics together – to experience the joy of mathematics in ways similar to what made them want to be math educators.
c) Provide opportunities for faculty, teachers, and pre-service teachers to grow in their knowledge of the practice of teaching with respect to pedagogy and content curriculum, and also to expand the horizon content knowledge of teachers.
d) To provide undergraduate pre-service teachers opportunities to learn from and connect with classroom teachers, which will allow them to be better prepared as they enter their own classrooms.
Please join us for another Math Teachers’ Circle.
