Can you “Spot it!”

Math Circles:
Spot It! is a matching game for kids but the mathematics behind the game is both deep and accessible. This session is an open ended investigation of the game where participants discover the hidden structures, patterns, and formulas that make the game special. It is particularly interesting to see how non-Euclidean geometry is at the heart of a real game. This in an opportunity to see how different types of mathematics can be used to model/design parts of the real world.
