This was the 5th meeting of the Spring 2013 meetings for the Islander Math Circles. Session facilitators were Dr. Sarah Ives and Kim Moore. The goal was to introduce secondary students to the concepts of fractal dimension through an exploration of Sierpinski's Triangle and the "Chaos Game". Emphasis is on generalizing from patterns, deductive reasoning, and some of the different ways to compute the dimension of a figure with self-similarity.
