Texas Tech University Math Circle

The Texas Tech University (TTU) Math Circle meets every Wednesday from 7-8pm during the school term. We meet in room 110 of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics building on the TTU campus.

The Math Circle is open to middle and high school students who are interested in math problem solving. The idea is to present challenging problems in a fun and interesting way. The goal is to get the students excited about the mathematics, giving them a setting that encourages them to become passionate about mathematics.

The Math Circle was initiated by Dr. Dermot McCarthy, a mathematics faculty at Texas Tech University. Now it is organized and led by Ganga Acharya, a mathematics doctoral student, and is facilitated by Dr. Lars Christensen of the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Texas Tech University, and is free of charge.
